Great question! I don’t start senior sessions until you are officially a “senior”…so, July before your senior year! Many schedule their session during the summer because they like to have a tan. That said, it’s best to choose a season you are most comfortable. Seasonally, it all depends on your personality and what season you like best. I book out quickly for late spring through fall photoshoots. And if you decide you want to have your session during senior year, my recommendation is to schedule before Memorial Day or after graduation (end of June, beginning of July). There are so many senior events in June and it makes it difficult to get a session in.

• For the Simplicity and Essential Senior Sessions, the Session fee is due at the time of booking to officially reserve the session date.
• For the Signature and Ultimate Senior Sessions, 50% of the session fee is due to officially reserve the session date.
• Half of the order balance is due when the order is placed.
• Remainder of the balance is due at order delivery.

This process keeps payment spread out over the entire senior process. Please don’t hesitate to ask about payment plans.

Some of my favorite spots for senior sessions have been found around town, at local parks and in alleyways! This can include fire escape ladders, graffiti walls, grungy doors and flowering vines that have made for some of the most unique spots!

I’d love to help guide you in your decisions! Let’s remember your senior portraits should represent you! Think about your favorite colors, pieces of clothing, accessories, etc. We can put outfits together around all your favorites! The key to a well-rounded session is variety! Choose outfits that range from formal (suits and dresses) to casual with a variety of necklines and lengths. Finish it off with awesome accessories - jewelry, jackets, hats, scarves, shoes, ties, you name it! We can schedule a styling consultation before your session to help you narrow down your favorites!

Things to avoid bright white, neon or overly bright colors. Wearing old or dirty shoes, shirts with big logos or busy graphics, chipped nail polish or dirty hair, too much makeup, highlighter, over accessorizing to name a few.

Portraits that are unique to you is just that, be true to YOU! Think about a location that is special to you and it’s an easy way to make your senior pictures different than everyone else's!

Other things to consider: your outfit selections, props, pets, friends, siblings/family, among other things.

There are so many things to consider bringing to your senior portrait session that will make it unique to YOU!  Here are a few of my favorites!

• Sports jersey and equipment.
• Musical instrument.
• Books or other academic materials.
• Friends, siblings, and your four-legged friends!
• Personalized signs.
• Sentimental items like old kindergarten photos, jewelry handed down, etc.
• Balloons or confetti (we will need to be sure to clean up the area when we are done).
• Accessories like hat, jackets, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses and so much more. Just not too many ;)

Don't forget to bring makeup, a brush or comb, spray or serum for any touch ups. And if you think you will need a snack or water that’s good too.

It’s totally up to you! Some like to have it done for them, but I believe you need to be comfortable with your look. I like to keep it simple but classic. Mascara and lips are most important. If you decide you want to have professional hair and make-up done for your session, let me know and I’ll pass along names you can connect with at an additional charge.

No to worry! We can plan to FaceTime or Zoom for your consultations and ordering appointment. You can select locations that you like for your session. We can discuss location during our pre-session consultation. Mileage and travel expenses will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Yes, of course! I love it when friends or family members join in the fun! They can assist with outfits, styling and hair! Many time, they may jump into a photo or two!

Digital portraits are included in each of my sessions. While they are nice to share electronically or print them yourself, and save, they are usually forgotten about once your session is done. We recommend purchasing printed product as well as digital portraits. You can get that in two of my sessions - Signature and Ultimate!

I enjoy so many locations! It’s important to fit your style and personality! Think urban, gardens, fields, universities, your school, water, bridges, etc.

Normally, your images will be ready within two weeks. Busy season may extend it to three weeks. Rush edits are possible at an additional cost.

I wouldn’t say “pose”, but I will guide you in a way to make it natural. This is your session and ideally you are relaxed, comfortable and having a good time!

No worries! I watch the forecast the week of your session and stay in touch. If it rains (or snows), we will reschedule for a mutually agreeable time. The only thing I can’t guarantee is a weekend day during my busy season. And if you want to have your session in the rain or snow, let’s do it! It makes for fun portraits!

Yes! I’m a big believer in printing products. I offer a wide variety of wall art, heirloom albums and other specialty pieces and gift ideas. I only use professional labs because where you print matters. I promise.

I understand this is an investment. Payment is due upon booking to hold your date. Depending on the session, 50% of the session fee is due to book and the balance due a week before your session. I will offer a payment plan if you request it.
