Capture the Most Important Part of Your Senior's Childhood: Moments with Their BFF
June 8, 2022 is National Best Friend Day
Your senior is about to graduate and move onto their next journey. However, one of the most important pieces of their past journey involves their BFF. Your senior and their best friend have likely made memories to last a lifetime. You may see their best friend as your adopted child, getting to know them and their families over many years. Now that you are trying to capture those last few milestones in your senior's life before they move on, do not forget to capture a few of their moments with their BFF.
What Is National Best Friend Day?
National Best Friends Day is a real national "holiday." In 1935, Congress decided to set aside a day to celebrate our closets friends. They chose June 8 because it appears to be nice weather in all areas of the country, making it a perfect kind of day to spend time outdoors with your best friend.
Today, people can spend the time getting together with their closet friends for a fun time out, whether enjoying an outdoor event, sporting event, or just dinner with friends. It is a great day to enjoy the company of those who help keep you sane and help you get through many days.
Capturing the Relationship Between Your Senior and Their Best Friend
Many times, the friends we make in high school become acquaintances in the future. However, a best friend is very different. A best friend has seen your senior through the best times and worst times. They have been your senior's partner in crime, ride or die, or brother or sister from another mister, for as long as you and your senior can remember. Without them, your senior's childhood would look very different.
Therefore, when you plan to capture the important moments of your senior's last year, make sure many of them include moments shared with their best friend. Make sure to work with a professional photographer who can capture the true bond your child and their best friend share. Those bonds will be the important memories that make you and your senior cry happy tears as you look back on their senior year.
Provide Your Senior with a Keepsake of Them and Their Best Friend as They Start Their Next Journey
When your senior moves on to their next journey, they could n=use something to help them remember home as they face new challenges and a new beginning. As you capture those moments with your senior and their best friend, make a small album or framed photo for your senior and their best friend to take with them to their next adventure. Such keepsakes will help them feel a little closer to home in the scariest of new situations.
