Capture Real Memories in a Virtual Year
Create Moments to Remember as the Class of 2021 Embarks on a Virtual School Year
When you send your baby to kindergarten, you envision a school career built on amazing memories, good friends, and hard work. You never envision that time will be spent in a virtual meeting with teachers and students, devoid of face to face human interaction.
Yet here we are. The beginning of the 2020-2021 school year is starting virtually for many. Some benefit from going to school two days a week and then learning online for 3 days.
For the Class of 2021, this is not the senior year anyone imagined. As parents, we wanted to celebrate your last first day of school, your last homecoming dance, your last championship. We cry with you as you log on to learn.
However, there is a way to capture special moments of the last year of high school, even if they are slightly different from the normal events seniors expect to experience.
Create Moments with Friends Outside of School
Not all senior year memories have to happen at school. Those special moments with friends can happen anywhere, including the woods and lakes surrounding Medford, Westampton, Shamong, and other parts of Burlington County.
As parents, you can arrange opportunities to create memories with those kids who have become added family members. Arrange a bonfire. Invite the kids to a BBQ at the lake. Find ways to create memories that may not have occurred in a normal school year.
Then capture these memories for your seniors to enjoy years from now. They will remember their senior year full of laughter and fun, as opposed to one filled with a pandemic and virtual learning.
Capture the Changes
Whether entering a school building or learning online, senior year of high school comes with many changes. Take the opportunity to capture the changes. Capture that moment your senior gets their first college acceptance letter. Capture the moment your child decides to enter the military after high school. Capture the first date with that special crush.
Senior year, as with anything else in life, is a series of changes and moments. Each month brings a new change. Each day provides a new opportunity. Find ways to capture these changes, and these moments as your baby ends their life as a child and begins to enter the world as a young adult.
