The Semester of Lasts!
Do Not Let These Last Moments Slip Away Unnoticed
High school seniors are entering the most important part of their senior year: the last semester. In a few months, your high school senior will take their last college tour, write their last high school paper, go to their last high school sporting event, participate in their last high school play, musical, or concert, go to their last school dance or prom, and attend their last class before assembling for graduation. In the blink of an eye, these last moments disappear.
Make sure you capture each last moment as if it were the first. Once these moments are gone, you cannot get them back. You cannot relive each moment with your senior because they will be off experiencing the firsts of post-graduation life. Therefore, you need to capture the moments to reflect on for years to come.
What Are Some of the Important “Lasts” for Your Senior?
The entire year is a last. It is the last year that your senior will walk the halls of high school. It is the last year your senior will be a child under 18 in your home. It is the last year for many significant achievements in your senior’s life.
However, the last semester of senior year holds its own “last” moments that are worth noticing. Some of these moments include the following:
- The last day of school
- The last high school party
- The last high school sporting event
- The last high school musical, play, or concert
- The last high school paper
- The last high school test
- The last college visits
- The last prom
- Graduation
- Project Graduation
What Can You Do to Capture These Last Moments of High School?
As the parent of a high school senior, you will look for ways to make this last year live forever. While your child will graduate and go off to their next adventure, you can find a way to capture these moments so they live forever in your heart and memories.
Photos are a wonderful way to ensure you capture every last of your senior’s last semester of school. As a parent, you can take some photos before they go off to take their last test, turn in their last paper, or reach any other last milestone during their senior year.
However, you can also include these moments (or simulations of these moments) in your senior portraits. Work with a photographer who can help stage some of these moments to capture these last moments professionally. Between the memories you capture and the keepsakes you can create from your child's senior portraits and photoshoots, you can ensure you have memories to look back on for years to come.
